The Canadian federal government has allocated over $9 million to address veteran homelessness in British Columbia and Yukon. This includes $4.7 million for affordable housing and counseling at Legion Veterans Village in Surrey, BC, and over $4.5 million for rent supplements and other support services through the Legion Foundation. The funds aim to help veterans at risk of or experiencing homelessness, as well as those with disabilities needing care.
