California is launching a $25 million program to fund the transition to zero-emission cargo handling equipment, forklifts, and marine vessels. Funded by the VW Mitigation Trust, the money aims to reduce NOx emissions and prioritize support for low-income communities. Marine vessel projects must have approval from the California Air Resources Board for their zero-emission technology applications.
