Arvindar Singh Sahney, a 54-year-old veteran with over 30 years at Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), has been appointed as the company's new chairman. The appointment, made by the petroleum ministry, follows Shrikant Madhav Vaidya's completion of his tenure. Sahney, currently an Executive Director, is set to lead India’s largest oil firm for a period of five years.
