Amtrak services between New York City and New Haven, Connecticut, were suspended on Tuesday due to a fire near train tracks in the Bronx. The fire, which involved a transformer at an Amtrak substation, caused power losses and disrupted travel, with limited service also affected between New York and Washington, and Boston and New Haven. Amtrak advised passengers to use Metro-North, which is honoring Amtrak tickets. Normal operations have not yet resumed.
