UK plant turns CO2 from power generation into fizzy drink ingredient, earning carbon credits.

A new 10-megawatt gas-fired power plant in Nottinghamshire, UK, captures carbon dioxide emissions and transforms them into an ingredient for fizzy drinks. The Rhodesia plant outside Worksop uses waste heat to capture and clean CO2, which earns carbon credits by replacing manufactured gas. It also provides flexible power to the grid when renewable energy fluctuates. The plant's modular design could be adapted for wider use globally.
