The trial for 12 African men accused of murdering 19-year-old Girum Mekonnen in Brisbane's O'Callaghan Park has resumed in a judge-alone matter after a jury was discharged due to racial prejudice concerns. The defendants, who have pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges, are accused of causing grievous bodily harm with weapons. Three of the accused admitted being at the scene but denied causing injuries. The trial is expected to last five weeks.
