Netflix's ad-supported tier reaches 70 million users globally, surpassing earlier counts.

Netflix reports that its ad-supported tier now has 70 million monthly active users globally, marking significant growth since its launch two years ago. The number of users has increased from 40 million in May 2024 and 22 million in January 2024. In countries where the ad plan is available, over half of new sign-ups are choosing the ad-supported option.
