Kenyan lawmakers and governors clash over a $100M road fund and billions in county allocations.

Kenyan MPs and governors are in a dispute over the Sh10.5 billion Road Maintenance Levy Fund, with talks stalled due to a court case filed by the Council of Governors. The 18-member mediation committee, co-chaired by MP Ndindi Nyoro and Senator Ali Roba, is set to meet again to resolve the deadlock. The disagreement also involves the amount of revenue allocated to counties, with MPs proposing Sh380 billion and the Senate insisting on Sh400 billion.
