In Kenya, bees are helping reduce conflicts between elephants and farmers. Save the Elephants introduced beehive fences, which deter elephants 86% of the time. Each fence has 15 connected hives and costs about $1,100, making it cheaper than electric fences. While it supports 49 farmers, high costs and climate change pose challenges. The charity also offers metal-sheet fences and chili-soaked rags for those who can't afford the hives.
