Irish hotel group urges politicians to aid struggling tourism, propose VAT cuts and more.

The Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) is urging political parties to address the financial struggles of the tourism and hospitality industry, especially food service businesses. The IHF calls for a VAT rate reduction to 9%, a review of tourism policies, increased funding for skills training, and improved regional air access. The sector supports over 270,000 jobs and generates over €10 billion in revenue annually.
