Indonesia plans to develop 75 gigawatts of renewable energy over the next 15 years, aiming to move away from coal and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. Currently, coal makes up over half of Indonesia's 90 GW energy capacity. The country also seeks to build 70,000 km of transmission lines and reforest 12.7 million hectares, with support from international investors and the Bezos Earth Fund.
