Haiti's main airport temporarily closed due to a surge in gang violence, including gunfire at a landing flight from Florida. The U.S. Embassy warned of disruptions and armed violence in the area. The turmoil follows the dismissal of interim Prime Minister Garry Conille and the appointment of Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, amid political chaos and gang control over much of Port-au-Prince.
