Canadian postal workers may strike Friday if wage and benefit disputes aren't resolved.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) issued a 72-hour strike notice to Canada Post, putting workers in a legal position to strike starting Friday if a settlement is not reached. While the union's national board has not decided on a strike, negotiations have been ongoing for almost a year. Canada Post's latest offer includes an 11.5% wage increase over four years, pension protection, and health benefits, but gaps remain in the negotiations.
