Yale introduces course analyzing Beyoncé's music to explore Black culture and politics.

Yale University is introducing a new course called "Beyoncé Makes History: Black Radical Tradition History, Culture, Theory & Politics Through Music" in the spring 2025 semester. Led by professor Daphne Brooks, the course will analyze Beyoncé's work from 2013 to 2024 to explore themes in Black intellectual thought, activism, and culture. The class joins a growing number of university courses that examine the cultural and political impact of celebrities like Beyoncé.
