Two men face trial for damaging a famous tree and Hadrian's Wall, causing over £622,000 in damage.

Two men, Adam Carruthers, 32, and Daniel Graham, 39, are accused of causing over £622,000 in damage to the famous Sycamore Gap tree and £1,144 to Hadrian's Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage site, both owned by the National Trust. Carruthers attended a pre-trial hearing remotely due to illness, while Graham appeared in person at Newcastle Crown Court. The trial, initially set for December 3, may be postponed.
