Thousands of oysters have been successfully reintroduced into the Firth of Forth in Scotland, thriving after a century-long absence due to overfishing. Part of the Restoration Forth project, 30,000 European flat oysters were released last September, with an 85% survival rate. The project aims to enhance water quality, store carbon, and boost biodiversity by creating new habitats for marine life.
