Republican David Schweikert won re-election in Arizona's 1st District, keeping a seat held by Republicans since 2015.

Republican David Schweikert won re-election in Arizona's 1st Congressional District, defeating Democratic challenger Amish Shah. The affluent Phoenix area district has trended towards the center since Donald Trump's 2016 victory, but Schweikert secured his eighth term, despite past ethics scandals including a $125,000 fine for misusing campaign funds. Democrats narrowly missed flipping the district in 2022 by less than 1 percentage point. Schweikert is one of 16 Republicans representing districts won by Biden in 2020.
