President-elect Trump appoints immigration hard-liner Stephen Miller to deputy chief of policy.

President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Stephen Miller, a staunch immigration hard-liner, as the deputy chief of policy in his new administration. Miller, who previously served as a senior adviser during Trump's first term, played a key role in crafting restrictive immigration policies, including the 2018 family separation policy. Since leaving the White House, Miller has led America First Legal, a conservative organization challenging the Biden administration. The appointment does not require Senate confirmation.
