Nigeria's labor group threatens strike over minimum wage and fuel prices, targeting December 1, 2024.

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) threatened an indefinite strike starting December 1, 2024, if states do not implement the new minimum wage of N70,000. The NLC also criticized fuel price inflation and "anti-people policies" by the government, blaming them for increasing poverty. Over 20 states have adopted the new wage, but seven states and the Federal Capital Territory have not yet approved it.
