New Zealand's two-year inflation expectations rose to 2.12% in the fourth quarter of 2024, up from 2.03% in the third quarter, according to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. Meanwhile, one-year expectations fell to 2.05%, and annual inflation slowed to 2.2%, returning to the target band of 1-3% for the first time in over three years. The Reserve Bank is expected to lower the Official Cash Rate to 4.25% by November 27.
