In 2024, natural disasters including tropical depressions, storms, and typhoons have affected over 255,000 people in Laos, causing 12 deaths, 32 injuries, and leaving one person missing. The disasters have impacted 16 provinces, 133 districts, 1,462 villages, and 54,108 households. Severe flooding has damaged 300 irrigation projects and affected nearly 15,000 hectares of agricultural land.
