Lithuanian coalition government formed; plans include economic reforms and combatting xenophobia.

Three Lithuanian parties, the Social Democratic Party, Dawn of Nemunas, and Democratic Union "For Lithuania," have formed a coalition government. Gintautas Paluckas will lead the government, and Saulius Skvernelis will be Speaker of the Seimas. The coalition plans to create a Road Fund, reduce VAT on fruits and vegetables, reform pensions, combat xenophobia, reintroduce a public electricity supplier, and halt education reforms. The coalition holds at least 86 of 141 parliamentary seats.
