Gross collections increased by 21.2% to Rs 15.02 lakh crore, with refunds totaling Rs 2.92 lakh crore, up 53%. The government aims to collect Rs 22.12 lakh crore in direct taxes for the fiscal year, a 13% increase from the previous year.
