Hackers have put the personal data of about 200,000 Bucharest residents, including IDs, names, and addresses, up for sale. The cyberattack occurred at District 5 City Hall in late October. After failing to reach a ransom demand of $5 million, the hackers released the data, which could be used for identity theft. Romania's National Cyber Security Directorate is investigating, and a criminal case has been opened.
