Former British para-athlete Jonny Huntington plans to ski solo to the South Pole, aiming to be the first disabled person to do so unsupported.

Jonny Huntington, a 38-year-old former British para-athlete paralyzed on his left side after a 2014 stroke, is preparing for a 40-day solo expedition to ski 911km to the South Pole. Dragging a 110kg sled with all his supplies, he aims to be the first disabled person to complete this feat unsupported. Huntington, who has competed in World Cups, will begin his journey from Union Glacier in Antarctica.
