Peter Scott, a former US Army counterintelligence agent, founded Fields4Valor, a nonprofit farm in Brandywine, Maryland, to help food-insecure veterans in the D.C. region. After struggling with PTSD, Scott discovered many veterans faced food insecurity. Since its launch, the farm has assisted over 500 veterans and their families, with any surplus produce sold at a local market to fund the operation.
