Centz stores, trading as Homesavers, paid fees and donated to charity to avoid conviction for pricing errors in Ireland.
Centz stores, trading as Homesavers, faced charges from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) for pricing Heinz Baked Beans in pounds instead of euros at a store in Co. Clare, Ireland. The company agreed to pay €1,501 in costs and donate €200 to charity to avoid a conviction. The judge adjourned the case until December. Homesavers has since placed signs in all stores about UK-priced stock and committed to reprice items and train staff.
