Avathon, an AI firm formerly known as SparkCognition, plans to triple its workforce in India to 400 employees over the next two years, aiming to make India its largest R&D hub. The company is investing $50 million to expand its sales and R&D capabilities, targeting a jump in India's contribution to its global revenue from 10% to 25%. Avathon, already working with Indian oil and gas firms, will use its Indian base to serve other markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
