Australian group seeks DNA from families to identify WWI soldiers in a Fromelles mass grave.

The Fromelles Association of Australia is urging descendants of 700 Australian soldiers who died in the 1916 Battle of Fromelles to provide DNA samples to identify remains found in a mass grave. Since the discovery of 250 bodies in 2008, DNA has helped identify 180 soldiers, but over 70 remain unnamed. The association hopes DNA from families can help honor the soldiers and provide closure.
