Australian campaign aims to ban junk food ads targeting kids, seeking stricter advertising rules.

The Food for Health Alliance launched the "Brands off our Kids" campaign to reduce junk food ads targeting children, pushing for stricter rules on unhealthy food advertising in Australia. This follows the UK's plan to ban junk food marketing before 9 pm on TV and online by 2025. Children see about 17 junk food ads per hour online, totaling around 168 weekly and 800 annually. The campaign seeks to ban ads featuring cartoons and prizes, backed by over 40 health and community groups.
