ADB approves $21.95 million to help Maldives fight climate change, improve food security.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a $21.95 million package, including a $4 million loan and a $17.95 million grant, for the Maldives to combat climate change and improve food security. The project will upgrade disaster warning systems in Addu City and Male, enhance flood protection on Kulhudhuffushi Island, and introduce climate-smart farming techniques in Haa Dhaalu and Addu atolls.
