TMC leaders met India's Election Commission, accusing a BJP official of insulting police and alleging voter influence.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders met the Election Commission in India, filing complaints against BJP West Bengal chief Sukanta Majumdar for remarks insulting the state police and suggesting they replace their emblem with a sandal symbol. TMC also accused central forces of deploying illegally to influence voters in favor of BJP ahead of upcoming by-elections. They requested the EC to ensure fair elections and action against Majumdar.
