Sri Lankan Navy arrests 23 Tamil fishermen, escalating tensions over maritime boundaries.

The Sri Lankan Navy arrested 23 Tamil fishermen and seized three mechanized boats on November 10, accusing them of crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL). Since June 16, 2024, 425 Tamil fishermen have been arrested and 58 boats seized. Fishermen's associations in Tamil Nadu are organizing protests, urging the Indian government to intervene.
