San Diego's 37th library branch in Pacific Highlands Ranch opened, featuring a $28 million, 18,000-square-foot sustainable building with extensive community input. The facility includes study rooms, a community room with a catering kitchen, outdoor areas, and a tech-equipped IDEA Lab. Funded by developer fees, the library aims to serve growing communities and includes energy-efficient designs and a public art installation. Over 400 locals attended the grand opening, marking the city's first library opening since 2019.
