Richard Shashaty, a 37-year-old man from Brick Township, New Jersey, has been charged with arson for allegedly starting a 350-acre wildfire, known as the Shotgun Wildfire, near the Central Jersey Rifle Range. The fire was caused by prohibited Dragons Breath shotgun rounds. Shashaty turned himself in on November 9 and is in custody, awaiting a detention hearing. The fire threatened 25 structures and led to 15 home evacuations but is now 90% contained.
