A Michigan State Trooper was injured in a crash caused by a 66-year-old man who reportedly ignored a stop sign.

A Michigan State Trooper suffered minor injuries in a crash early Saturday morning at the intersection of Michigan Ave. and Van Dorn St. in Jackson. The incident occurred when a 66-year-old man from Spring Arbor, driving a pickup truck, failed to stop at a sign and hit the passenger side of the patrol car. The injured trooper was taken to Henry Ford Hospital and later released. The crash investigation suggests alcohol may have been a factor.
