Indian naval vessel INS Tarini completes challenging global voyage, promoting gender equality and reaching Fremantle.
The Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Tarini, on a global expedition called Navika Sagar Parikrama II, arrived in Fremantle, Australia, after a challenging journey from Goa. The two-person crew, Lt Cdr Dilna K and Lt Cdr Roopa A, braved tough weather conditions, including strong winds, during the 4,900 nautical mile voyage. The expedition aims to promote gender equality, sustainability, and international maritime cooperation. The vessel was greeted with a warm reception by local dignitaries and media.
