IFAW rescued 10 stranded dolphins on Cape Cod, with 6 others dying; cause of strandings unknown.

On Saturday, the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) rescued 10 dolphins that were stranded across eight beaches in five Cape Cod towns. Six other dolphins died during the operation. The cause of the strandings is unclear, but the dolphins are believed to be from the same pod. Cape Cod sees more live-stranded dolphins than any other location globally, and 2024 has been especially challenging, according to IFAW.
