Floyd Shivambu, former EFF deputy president, takes over as secretary-general of the MK Party.

Floyd Shivambu, former deputy president of the EFF, has been appointed as the new secretary-general of the MK Party, succeeding Sifiso Maseko who resigned to return to his role in the Gauteng Health Department. This move follows consultations between former South African President Jacob Zuma and national officials. Shivambu joined the MK Party after leaving the EFF in August. The party has not yet announced who will replace Shivambu in his previous role as National Organiser.
