Johann Guntermann, a 31-year-old leader of the far-left "Hammer Gang" and Germany's most wanted extremist, was arrested by Saxony State Police in Germany. Guntermann faces charges for plotting and carrying out attacks on right-wing activists across Europe, with investigators linking him to a hammer attack on "neo-Nazis" in Budapest. He had been on the run since March 2021 with a 10,000 euro bounty on his head.
