Diesel vehicle imports in South Korea plummet by over 60%, hitting a 20-year low.

Diesel vehicle imports in South Korea have fallen by over 60% this year, reaching their lowest levels in 20 years, according to the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association. The decline is partly due to the "Dieselgate" scandal involving Volkswagen and the rise in electric and hybrid vehicle registrations. The number of diesel vehicle imports from January to October dropped to 6,740, accounting for only 3.1% of all imported vehicles.
