Connecticut faces a Stage Two Drought Advisory, banning outdoor fires due to severe dry conditions.

Connecticut has entered a Stage Two Drought Advisory due to dry conditions since October, leading to a moderate drought across the state. The lack of rainfall has caused 153 brushfires, prompting a ban on outdoor fires and grills. Governor Ned Lamont urged water conservation, including limiting outdoor irrigation and reducing water use. This is the first time all eight counties have been under such an advisory since 2022.
