Ukrainian and Russian ombudsmen met in Belarus to discuss humanitarian issues and POW exchanges.

Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets and Russian counterpart Tatyana Moskalkova met in Belarus for the first time since March 2022 to discuss humanitarian issues related to the ongoing conflict. They exchanged lists of prisoners of war and facilitated the repatriation of deceased soldiers, with Ukraine receiving 563 bodies and Russia 37. A 91-year-old Ukrainian woman was also reunited with her family. The meeting included participation from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
