A Kentucky officer was reprimanded for firing pepper rounds at a TV crew during 2020 protests.

Kentucky police officer Dustin Dean has been reprimanded for firing non-lethal pepper rounds at a WAVE-TV crew during protests over Breonna Taylor's death in 2020. The incident took place in May 2020, shortly after the protests began. After a three-year FBI investigation that did not result in criminal charges, the Louisville Police Department found Dean violated its use of force policy, leading to a letter of reprimand and his reassignment.
