Inmate Aneesh Kumar petitions Kerala High Court for higher wages and more phone contacts for prisoners.

Aneesh Kumar, a 63-year-old inmate at Kerala's Central Prison, has petitioned the Kerala High Court for increased wages for prisoners and more approved phone contacts. He argues that current wages, ranging from ₹63 to ₹127, are significantly lower than those in Karnataka, where unskilled inmates earn up to ₹524. Kumar claims that fair wages are crucial for rehabilitation and family support. The court has scheduled a response from authorities for December 5.
