India's DoT partners with firms to develop 5G millimeter-wave amplifier chips, boosting local tech.

India's Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has partnered with Linearized Amplifier Technology Services and Vedang Radio Tech to develop millimeter-wave power amplifier chips for 5G. This project, supported by the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), aims to enhance India's ability to produce advanced 5G solutions, aligning with the National Semiconductor Mission and the Make-in-India initiative. The focus is on creating IP cores for 5G FR2 frequency bands essential for high-speed, low-latency services.
