Jihaad Ahmad, a 36-year-old inmate in Michigan, has been arraigned for allegedly sending a threatening letter to Governor Gretchen Whitmer in May 2024. The letter included threats to bomb her home following his denial of parole. Ahmad faces charges of false report or threat of terrorism, which could result in up to 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine if convicted. He is scheduled for a court appearance on November 14.
