Amplitude Studios, known for games like "Endless Dungeon" and "Humankind," has regained independence after being sold by Sega, marking the end of an eight-year ownership. The management buyout returned control to some original founders, allowing the studio to pursue a more agile creative vision. Sega's restructuring efforts led to losses and included layoffs at other studios. Amplitude plans to focus on current projects and will share future updates in January 2025.
