A small plane skidded off the runway at Essex County Airport in Fairfield, New Jersey, on November 6 due to landing gear failure linked to electrical issues. The pilot, 58, and a 57-year-old passenger were unharmed. The 2011 Baron Beechcraft G58 had taken off from the same airport but returned after the pilot detected problems. The airport was closed for investigation following the incident.
