Six individuals were sentenced to life imprisonment for human trafficking of Bangladeshi girls in Hyderabad.
A special NIA court in Hyderabad has sentenced six individuals to life imprisonment for human trafficking involving Bangladeshi girls in 2019. The accused lured the victims with promises of jobs, only to force them into prostitution. Each was fined ₹24,000, with an 18-month additional sentence for non-payment. The case began when Telangana police rescued five girls in August 2019, after which the NIA took over the investigation.
